Graduation


On May 19, 2004, I graduated from Columbia's College of Physicians and Surgeons. Here is a picture of me during the morning ceremony held at the undergraduate campus (as you might have guessed, it was raining :))

Here I am at the beginning of the afternoon ceremony held at Columbia University Medical Center, where our class officially received our diplomas and the title of Doctor of Medicine.


As per Columbia P&S tradition, past graduates are invited to present diplomas to their children. Here I am (P&S class of 2004) receiving my diploma from my mom (P&S class of 1973) and dad (P&S class of 1974)


Besides my parents, sister and Aunt Linda, my family friend Pearl Eccles and my high school guidance counselor, Grace Rivera were present at my graduation. Here I am with Mrs. Rivera after receiving my diploma.


Here is my diploma in the flesh (so to speak :)), conferring that I am now officially Shearwood McClelland III, M.D. Looks nice, doesn't it?
